Welcome to week 2 of The Random acts of kindness series. So last week we focused on doing acts of kindness and love towards friends and family. This week we're going to take a step further field and hit the books! That's right the three suggestions this week involve making someone smile within the pages of a book. So read on and lets go!!!!
1. Book shop love notes
While you are down the street doing your regular food shop or perusing the stores for your next great bargain. Take a detour to your local bookstore. Whatever genre you like most ( Mine being fantasy fiction) stroll on over and pick a book you have read before, one you just know someone else will enjoy. Pick up the book and flick to the middle of it. Once there place a beautiful written note telling them how amazing this book is and why. Here's an example
Dear Sir/ Madam
Just a quick note to let you know that this book is Amazing!
I promise that you won't be disappointed.
I stand by my word which is why I have also placed a five dollar note
here so you can have a coffee on me while you fall in love with this literature.
If you genuinely like it please consider passing on the kindness and do the same
random act of kindness for another
sincerely

That's right you also need to part with a fiver. But won't it be worth it :)

2.Buy that book for your a stranger
This act of kindness is closer to the heart. We all have that gift of giving within us. So once again peruse the aisles of your local bookstore. Find that one great book you just know that someone else could benefit from to be lifted up. I love the classics like Jane Eyre or Pride and Prejudice because you can never go wrong. Purchase the book and write a cute little love note inside. Go to your local nursing home, homeless shelter or send it to one of your favourite charities, local church with instructions on who you would like it to go to. e.g.. Person having a birthday, someone lonely, A single mother, the list is endless. Wrap it up nice and know that whoever opens it will have a smile and a memory of an anonymous giver.

3. Local library
For our third and last act of kindness. print out a heap of bookmarks or buy some, your choice. Pile them together and head on down to your local library. This is also something fun for the kids to do. Randomly select books of the shelf and place bookmarks into them. It's sure to brighten a lot of people day. I have attached some large ones I made myself for you to download and use however you like.
