You Need an Editorial calendar

Every business, Author, Artist, Musician etc, needs an Editorial calendar. It's an absolute must. Why? Because if your trying to build your brand and make your presence known on the internet, then you need some organisation.

Honestly I use to do things by the seat of my pants! Actually I still write that way but I needed a plan. If I was going to take this seriously as a career, then I needed to seriously organise myself. Blog posts today are an absolute must! Readers want to know what is going on with you. So plan your posts in advance for the month. I would say at least five and then schedule them. Your emails and newsletters at least twice a month.

Now as for social media, a lot of people schedule that too. Me? I like to keep it random. You want to be available to talk on your pages.

DO NOT GO OVERBOARD!!! Seriously I get that this is a business, but it can't be our whole life. I made that mistake in the beginning and I was miserable. Let the readers come organically. Yes there is still a lot to do to have your presence known but for now, simply just start with an editorial calendar.
